What is the wheels off service? and what is the difference between keeping the wheel arch liners on or removing them.

Both add-ons actually look the same but taking the arch liners off behind the wheel allows for a more detailed inspection and service. It is more ideal for older cars to check behind the lining and gives peace of mind.

For completeness it is nice to remove the lining behind the wheel at the very least by the bottom edge of the wheel arch where debris can get trapped. However there is  probably is not much of evidence of most vehicles rotting away behind the wheel well even if small patches of rust is common.

As explained before common areas for rust are at the bottom of the wheel arches which can rot away. So partially removing some of the trim is often good and we will often do this regardless of the options selected.

For many cars a wheels off and liners on would be the first option. Depending on the circumstances we will still partially remove the lining if access to the sill or arch is required and if we feel an inspection is warranted.
